MBKM CURRICULUM AT THE FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL SCIENCES
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Islam Riau implements a curriculum based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) in the era of industry 4.0, Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), Kampus Merdeka Policy. The implementation of MBKM aims to accelerate the transformation of Indonesian higher education towards global competitiveness, transforming into a more independent and healthy institution with excellence in education, research, or community service, in accordance with its differentiated mission.
The MBKM policy has been established by the Minister of Education and Culture to encourage students to master various fields of knowledge as preparation for entering the workforce. The implementation of the MBKM program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) provides opportunities for students to choose learning activities beyond their study programs.
The activity will receive a maximum equivalency or conversion of 20 (twenty) credit hours per activity per semester. Through this option, students are expected to develop independence in seeking and acquiring knowledge through experience.
