History
The Business Administration Study Program was established based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 0607/0/1984, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Riau Islamic University became an independent faculty. The departments that were fostered at that time were State Administration, Commercial Administration, Secretarial, and Government Science. Until now, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences consists of 5 departments, namely the Department of Public Administration, Business Administration, Government Science, Office Administration, and the Department of Criminology.
In the Business Administration Study Program, there was a change in the name of the Study Program from the Undergraduate Commercial Administration Study Program to the Undergraduate Business Administration Program. This is based on the Decree of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Number 3754/A4.1/HK/2017. The change in the name of this Study Program has increased public interest in studying in the Business Administration Study Program.
The Business Administration Study Program is one of the programs within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau Islamic University, which is currently continuing to improve itself. This is done to respond to changes in various aspects of the structure of the business community and the business world whose problems are increasingly dynamic. The Business Administration Study Program has been accredited “B” based on Certificate Number: 6804/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/X/2020, dated 27 October 2020.

Business Administrator
A Business Administrator or First-level Manager in a Business organization, able to design and manage a business organization effectively, efficiently, and innovatively and able to evaluate every business policy for the optimal achievement of business organization goals. -
Entrepreneur
Business Actors in the field of entrepreneurship can create jobs. -
Business Consultant
Consultants in conducting research and formulating business policies for the goals of business organizations, able to conduct business feasibility studies. -
Business Analyst
Analysis of business and its environment that can provide input in making strategic decisions in the business field, able to conduct business analysis of business developments and certain business environment phenomena. -
Research Assistant
Conduct basic and applied research in the field of business administration, responsive to the latest business phenomena.
The Business Administration Study Programme curriculum is based on the National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) – Merdeka BelajarKampus Merdeka (MBKM) with a total of 144 credits spread over 8 semesters.
